Hamsangar S1E4 | Abdollah Karami
****** Fate lets some people come to a place for a short while and then move on — yet their heart stays behind in that city. Abdollah “Jomong,” beloved by Shahin’s fans, also came from Khuzestan. He stayed only four years, but tied forty years’ worth of memory and longing to this land. The fans adored him because he fought on with eight stitches in his leg, wore the captain’s armband, and turned down every offer to leave. He still keeps his old car with the plate number 48 — as if to tell himself, and every person in Bushehr, that everything from this port city is dear to him. This Friday, on “Hamsangar,” we sit with the story of a man from Dezful whose heart, it seems, is still left behind by the terraces of Shahin, inside Bushehr’s old stadium.
