Pagani Evolution 1999 to 2026 | Pagani Zonda Was Almost Called Fangio F1

Horacio Pagani planned to name his first car Fangio F1, after his friend Juan Manuel Fangio. When Fangio passed away in 1995, the car became the Zonda, named after a wind that blows down from the Andes. This Pagani evolution follows 39 cars and the whole of Pagani history, from the 1999 Zonda C12 to the 2026 Pagani Huayra 70 Derecho. Before starting his own company, Horacio Pagani worked at Lamborghini on carbon fibre, and that obsession with composites runs through every car he has built. Fangio also helped him connect with Mercedes, which is why every Pagani so far has used a Mercedes AMG engine. The Zonda grew into faster and wilder versions and then into a long line of one off 760 cars built for single customers.
