#تاشا_رابینسن منتقد The Verge؛ فیلم کوتاه «#تعادل – Balance» از زمان تماشایش در برنامه‌ی رقابتی اسکار 1990 مرا مسخ کرد و اسکار همان سال را هم برد. این انیمیشن کوتاه استاپ‌موشن که انیماتورهای آلمانی، ولفانگ و کریستوف لانستاین ساخته‌اند، درباره‌ی پنج مرد بی‌صداست روی مکعبی در فضایی خالی که سعی می‌کنند ضمن تنفر از همدیگر، در کنار هم زندگی کنند. همه‌چیز این انیمیشن را دوست دارم- اجتناب از صدای مینیمالیستی اما عصبی‌کننده‌اش، طراحی بصری ساده‌اش، نحوه‌ی نمایش غرور کاراکترها وقتی آنها حتی چهره‌ی مشخصی هم ندارند. عاشق آن استعاره‌ای هم هستم که در آن به کار رفته؛ از این واضح‌تر نمی‌شد. این فیلم مطالعه‌ی شفافیتِ داستان است بدون توضیح یا حتی دیالوگی و من هیچ‌گاه از تماشایش خسته نمی‌شوم. Tasha_Robinson, critic of The Verge; The short film "Balance" changed me since I watched it in the Oscar competition program in 1990 and won the Oscar that year. This short stop motion animation made by German animators, Wolfgang and Christoph Lanstein, is about five silent men on a cube in an empty space who try to live together while hating each other. I love everything about this animation - its avoidance of minimalist yet unnerving sound, its simple visual design, the way the characters show pride when they donʤt even have a face. I also love the metaphor used in it; It could not be clearer than this. This movie is a study in the transparency of the story without explanation or even dialogue and I never get tired of watching it.
